Recently, we were able to update Kānoa – Regional Economic Development & Investment Unit (REDU), and MBIE on the advancement of the NZ Wine Centre building project.

Eliot Linforth-Hall, MBIE Investment Director, visited along with Mark Pothecary, Senior Investment Adviser, Kānoa, to view progress on the development of the NZ Wine Centre-Te Pokapū Wāina o Aotearoa.

Eliot was impressed by progress and was pleased to see the centre being created.

The development has received $3.8 million in Crown Funding which is matched by funding provided by the Marlborough Research Centre and ongoing research commitment from New Zealand Wine.

The NZ Wine Centre-Te Pokapū Wāina o Aotearoa will unite and integrate the various scientific, industry and education activities based at the Budge Street campus while retaining autonomy and excellence of delivery from each entity.

Kānoa - REDIU works with other Government organisations and industry, communities, iwi and local government to manage and deliver funds tailored to build our regional economies.
