Founding CEO of the Bragato Research Institute (BRI), MJ, was farewelled earlier this month. MJ Loza has shared the MRC office area with his growing team of BRI researchers and technical specialists for the past three years. It’s fair to say that substantial progress has been made during MJ’s tenure at the head of this new entity. Most tangible is the magnificent purpose-built, award winning research winery.

With MRC now well into the construction phase of its new buildings, we look forward to providing for all the groups on campus facilities that will offer word leading spaces for interaction and innovation.

New BRI appointment

Jeffrey Clarke, General Manager Advocacy & General Counsel at New Zealand Winegrowers, has been appointed as interim CEO for the Bragato Research Institute. Mr Clarke took up the role in early April allowing for departing CEO MJ Loza to undertake a comprehensive handover.
