Marlborough Regional Skills Leadership Group Interim Report
The first local insights report from the interim Marlborough Skills Leadership Group (iRSLG) is now available online.
The purpose of the report is to identify Marlborough’s immediate labour market challenges and opportunities, and support Government agencies and local stakeholders in their decision making and workforce planning.
The report provides an overview of the current labour market in the Marlborough region and a snapshot of the impact of COVID-19.
Brendon Burns, chair of the group, says this report is based on interviews with iRSLG members undertaken late July and early August, reflecting the group’s first couple of months since establishment, with more to come.
The Marlborough group is one of 15 Regional Skills Leadership Groups (RSLG) in New Zealand, set up by the Government to identify and support better ways of meeting future skills and workforce needs in our region.
If you wish to discuss any issue or initiative that can assist this group and our region to lift Marlborough's skill, training and immigration responses to respond to the economic legacy of Covid-19, please get in touch with Brendon by clicking this link.
